OUR MISSION

“Our purpose as healthcare providers and concerned members of BCBC is to serve our congregation in both a spiritual and practical manner, being an advocate in the areas of health counseling, referral workshops, and providing health education to our church members and the 
community at large. We are committed to promoting a whole and healthy lifestyle.”

Our goals are to promote upcoming health events and news in our local communities as well as being an advocate rallying around national health concerns that affect our lives everyday. We believe information is power! And one of the ways we provide information is through our newsletter, “Managing Our Health Through His Word!” which deals with ministering to the whole man: spirit, soul and body. Currently, it is a quarterly newsletter but will soon be issued Bi-monthly starting in February, 2012.

BHM is affiliated with the following healthcare providers: Churches United for Healthy Congregations, NAACP Health Committee, Black Nurses Association, Suncoast Hospice, Faith Community Nurses, St Anthony’s and St Joseph’s Hospital Wellness Program, American Cancer Society, America Heart Association… and is a support and participant in
